Last Updated: August 10, 2026
Opportunity OS ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the Opportunity OS Sidekick Chrome Extension collects, handles, stores, shares, and protects your information when you use our browser extension and platform.
1. User Data Collection
Opportunity OS Sidekick processes user data strictly to run job application assistance and campaign tracking features initiated by the user:
- Personal Identification Info: User email address and full name for account authentication.
- Authentication Information: Session credentials and OAuth tokens stored to synchronize data with your secure Opportunity OS workspace.
- Web Page Content & History: Job titles, company names, requirements, salary ranges, and job posting text extracted from active job board tabs when scanned.
- Form Input Data: Candidate profile details (resume text, contact info, portfolio URLs) used to autofill job application fields.
2. User Data Handling & Storage
We handle and store all collected user data in accordance with modern security and encryption standards:
- Local Extension Caching: The extension utilizes
chrome.storage.local and chrome.storage.session to temporarily store session tokens, active job metadata, and user settings locally on your browser.
- Encryption in Transit: All data transmitted between the Chrome extension, web dashboard, and backend services is encrypted using TLS 1.3 / HTTPS.
- Data at Rest: User campaign data and application snapshots are stored in encrypted PostgreSQL database instances.
3. User Data Sharing & Disclosure
We do NOT sell, rent, lease, or trade user data to third parties, advertisers, or data brokers.
- Data is NEVER used for advertising, credit scoring, lending, or surveillance.
- User data is NEVER sold or transferred to data brokers.
- User inputs and resume materials are processed by AI partners (OpenAI / Anthropic) operating under strict zero-data-retention agreements and are NEVER used to train public foundation models.
4. User Retention & Data Deletion Rights
You maintain complete control over your data retention and privacy rights:
- Extension Clearance: Uninstalling the Chrome extension immediately purges all local data stored in
chrome.storage.local.
- Account & Data Erasure: You may request complete account and data erasure at any time by contacting [email protected]. All stored records, resume snapshots, and personal data will be permanently removed.
5. Single Purpose & Limited Use Certification
Opportunity OS Sidekick operates under a single purpose: assisting job seekers with application tracking and form autofilling. Use of information received from Chrome APIs adheres strictly to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
